Care notes

Iberian ribbed newts come from the Iberian peninsula and Morocco. In captivity they usually reach 6 to 8 inches and stay in the water almost all the time.

Keep water about 6–8 inches deep and below 70 °F in a 15-gallon tank with dense plants and a floating island. Adults eat larvae and young of their own kind, and feeder fish are not a good staple.
